I may replace the wheel. I finally found a similar one as posted but not red. That will not go with my gray interior. I did the hot water wipe down with a MF towel. Yeah It did come out with some dark spots. When I drive it tomorrow I'll see how it feels.
Did the leather return to it's dull matte finish? That's what it should look like. That's the way my seats look also but my car has little mileage on it. That's the way my car looked when brand new and continues to look that way, as long as I keep it squeaky clean. I can't help you on how it should feel in your hand, that's up to you I can only guide you on how it should look.

@corvettezman- Wow- this steering wheel is a bargain for $269! How long did it take for you to install?
I have replaced steering wheels before but this time, the dealer did it and it did not cost me anything.
They had my dash pad out for AC blending door actuators replacement at the time, so the steering wheel was out.
I bought the wheel during the car's stay at the dealership for 3 weeks waiting on parts and scheduling etc...
I took it to the dealer and they installed this wheel instead when the car went back together.
That is not what I mean, I want a gripper steering wheel. No cleaner or conditioner will do that. The wheel slips out of my hands. Almost ht something the other day backing up cause my hand slipped off the wheel while turning.
A steering wheel cover would add too much bulk to an already cramped(for me) seating position. Do any fit the flat bottom? Is a Z06 wheel any better? Is there another steering wheel I can swap in. Is mine just a fluke?
I've never driven another C7 to be able to compare. Maybe something I can stick on the wheel to make the grip better?
My suggestion is not to change to a gripper wheel, but to apply more pressure (grip) to the wheel to stop the slip.
Our 2017 2LT came with the black suede steering wheel. At first it felt strange, the two bumps were like I was fondling a small rodent while driving.
After getting used to it, I like it a lot. About every 10-15k miles I give it a good wipedown with a black terrycloth towel, damp but not soggy. By next day it's like new.
That is a great looking wheel. I may have to consider that.
I'm looking at a very similar wheel you have. I seen you said you had the dealer replace this one, but I'm planning on doing it myself. I've never done it...do you need to do anything special with airbag? Is this a difficult switch?
I love the car btw. I just got a Red c5 and I think this steering wheel will look great.
