Hi everyone! I’m in northern IN and have really dove straight in to my research and search for the perfect Grand Sport in my budget and interest! I can’t believe how difficult it has been so far to find one and today someone suggested joining this forum! I’m hoping to find a super clean torch red grand sport automatic. My second choice is white with red leather interior. Mileage isn’t a big issue if it’s clean and has been taken care of with zero to little modifications.
I’ll be searching IN, MI, IL and OH for the perfect vehicle, but also open to traveling 5-6 hours if the best one presents itself!
Thanks for having me here and I am so thankful my dream vehicle will be coming true soon. Hope to learn a lot from all of you as well!
Welcome! Research is of paramount importance! Which generation of Corvette are you looking at for your GS? If you go to that generation on the Forum, you should be able to find a few in their for sale sections. As other members see your introduction and general location, they may chime in with some local cars of which they are knowledgeable. I searched for mine and found it about half the country away, but it was the one that I wanted. Best of luck in your quest and be sure to keep us informed.
I posted a WTB post already in the C7 sub forum so hopefully that will draw some attention!! I am really wanting a GS or super clean Z51, but mainly the GS. Thanks for the welcome. I am going to be spending a lot of time on this forum, I can imagine!!
Yes, I was just reading about that earlier today. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! Really being patient on my search and not biting the bullet until it is exactly what I want!
I am the original owner of our 2019 GS in Shadow Gray, absolutely love the car. We also had a 2015 Z51 as my wife’s daily, my recommendation is find a GS as it should hold its value much better. All of the C7 GS’s will have mag ride we’re as it was an option on Z51 and stingray cars, you will appreciate that mag ride. As others have said the 2LT is the sweet spot. Good luck with your search!
Here Is where we picked out our GS, they had 44 new Vette’s on the floor all heavily discounted back then in anticipation of the C8.
Welcome to the forum and the best of luck with your search. Our 2019 Heritage Package, Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic, A8, 2LT convertible. Keep looking. You will find what you want.
Welcome to the forum. I was in a similar position about a year and a half ago. Love the wide body look of the GS, but settled on a very low mileage one owner 2014 white over red 2LT Z51 with the A6 transmission. Absolutely love it! I specifically wanted the 2LT trim because of some of the dash delamination problems. Also, you mentioned wanting an automatic. Be sure to educate yourself on the issues people have had with the A8 transmissions and make sure it has the new fluid after accomplishing the triple flush procedure. Was my primary reason for buying the 2014 model year. It’s the only one with the A6 which has not seemed to suffer from those issues. Also, on any version you get, really consider plugging a Range device into the OBD port. It will keep the AFM cylinder deactivation system of the engine from switching back and forth between 4 and 8 cylinders. That’s also been another issue with major concerns. Good luck with your search. You’ll love the Corvette and I’m sure the right one is out there waiting with your name on it!
Here’s some pictures of mine. Sorry they are out of order. Tried adding them by editing after my original post.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
