Hud
For some reason my HUD defaults to black and white every time I start the car, it only shows the speed. I can change it to color and the desired look (track, touring). I looked in the manual and can't see how to lock it where i want it. Any ideas?

Do you have the display set to change the theme to whatever mode you're in? E.g. Sport mode shows the Sport theme, Touring shows the Touring theme, etc? If so that may be your issue. I had mine set to change based on what I had my ride control set to but it did the same thing you're describing. Once I changed it to a static theme then the HUD would retain the setting I last used.

Interesting. Never knew the C7 HUD could display in B&W. Even after nearly 6 years of ownership, there are still things I am learning about this car.

He is speaking of the DIC menu (Settings / display mode) controlled by your right thumb on the steering wheel. Choices for the display mode are LINK TO DRIVE MODE, TOUR, SPORT, TRACK. He's calling the individual modes static..
I typically keep my display mode TRACK and the HUD only resets randomly on occasion.
