I'm new to forum but am trying to decide on headers and x-pipe combo, tuner I talked to said basically that anything other than Kooks or Arh is crap, I was wanting to buy TSP x-pipe and then do one of Kooks or Arh header but was informed you HAVE to buy same brand x-pipe as header you go with.. Was confused on that bc the measurements were same on TSP x-pipe as the kooks one, just SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've been obsessing over this for couple months and can't decide what to do. Cost is a factor here, I'm fine paying for headers but dropping over 1k on x-pipe seems ludicrous, especially since Borla and corsa x-pipes for c7 are $400 and $650 respectively.. Two well known brands. So any solutions would be welcomed, along with any sites or vendors with deals on said products. Thanks.
When I was looking for headers, I found the same thing to be the case. Because of length differences, it requires the same manufacturer x pipe to get a proper fit.
I previously had an AWE catless x pipe that I loved, and wanted to keep when adding headers. But, because the headers and the OEM manifolds are different lengths, the only way it would work was worth custom fabrication. The same would apply if you did that with any other x pipe.
For the record, I went with (used) Kooks and their green cats with x pipe. Fitment was perfect with absolutely no clearance issues.

didn't think about used, where did you get them used at?
Kook, ARH, Stainless Works, TSP headers "all" require an xpipe from the same brand."
I can sell you a Billy Boat Header for C7 that mounts to your oem midpipe or any other midpipe that mounts to the oem exhaust manifolds. These Billy Boat headers will delete your cats.

was looking into long tube headers, as that would be mid-length but will keep it in mind if I'm unable to find another deal. Thanks.
