Default Quickjack Hack?

My 7000TL is almost too long to fit on the regular jack pucks in my 2019 GS and thus requires a lot of time to position it to hit enough of puck on each end of both jacks. I made a set with hockey pucks, which are 3" in diameter, this helped some but still tedious to fit to jack blocks. I was wondering if anyone has just used the hard rubber lift blocks that come with the jacks, either as is, or modified by trimming the top corners some to fit the entire area where the puck is inserted. If so, would you please share details and results? It looks like this would allow use of the entire area around the insert slot for lifting and would be hard rubber to metal.

I have a QJ 5000. I use the black rubber blocks. 3" x 2' x 2" ish. I installed the permanent aluminum pucks, works perfect.
Probably wont help your situation.

I use the same pucks as kodpkd. I have the 5100 QJ and use the short blocks that come with them. They don't line up exactly on center and are a bit longer as well, but that's ok. I get them close as I can to lining them up, and have never had a problem. It's rock solid when lifted, and have done it on my Corvette with the pucks, and a friend that doesn't have pucks on his Corvette. Never had an issue as long as it's close.

I had the 5000 and now have the 7000. The only difference I had is the 7000 weighs much more.

I have and use a set of aluminum pucks (not the leave in type) and the shorter set of blocks. It's snug, but it all fits. Using the pucks help to align the blocks since they drop down just enough to see while positioning the blocks/jacks.
