The dealer I work at just took a 2016 2LT coupe in on trade, thinking about trading my 2010 C6 GS for it,what should I be looking for as trouble areas, car looks really clean and only has 19K on it
I bought one a few year ago 2016 3lt it only had 2800 kms it was like new a few hings on mine that I found was the belt tensioner was bad , some people had dash issues "leather seperating from the dash , but it looks like it was only the 3lt's , the trans was another if you have the 8 speed auto. Mine is good so far but next spring I'll flush the fluid with the new type . hope this helps . they are a great car . R
The major trouble you may have is from your jaws being sore from smiling so much ! I traded a 2010 C6 GS to a 2016 2LT Z51 in June- couldn't believe the difference in the two . Mine had 8100 miles and a M7 - I'm sure you'll be happy-I think the A8 may be the only issue , if there are any at all- Good luck

RonR80 has a good recap. As with any used car, a very thorough pre-purchase inspection is a key thing to do. Have all functions checked, get a report from a GM dealer on what maintenance may have been done to the car both under warranty and dealer serviced, and hopefully the prior owner has some records that would be available to you. Good luck - the C7 is a very good car.

If you don't know what to look out for, maybe do the smart thing and find someone who does? I would think a Corvette certified tech would know a little more than some guy who works at a general shop that sees everything and anything on wheels? Find those guys and talk to them and see which one makes you feel the best and have him do a Pre Delivery Inspection. That will cost you a few hours of time. If nothing else, it is money you won't get back. If they see something, it gives your negotiations a lot better a stand or you might decide you don't want to play and walk. On a sub $5000 beater, sure I will chance driving it around the block, stare an the engine and look like I am in deep thought. This isn't that beater so get a professional to look it over so you can make an informed decision to MINIMIZE your risk.

Carfax, GMVIS record.
If priced right, buy it. Move out of the c6.
You at a GM dealer? If so, it should be easy to get all the reports run. I've got a 16 and no issues so far. I had the triple flush and suspension updates done. Also replaced the battery. It's been a great car so far, 35k.
They are wonderful sports cars! I have a supercharged 2009 coupe along with a 2016 Stingray with Z51 option. Good luck with your decision.
