Default Quick Jack

All,

can any of you with Quick Jack experience shed light on a couple issues before i purchase
z06
1; which model are you using ? it looks to me like the 5000TL is the choice, 7000 lbs and xtended rails not needed for 2019 Z06

2; i am looking to get a little more height, has anyone used a proces of supporting the car on wheel stands once lifted then lowering the jack and puting
something like the SUV or other blocks in place to extend the height?

I went with 5000TLX, which works well for my '19 Z when turned perpendicular to the car, as shown here...

It also works well in the more "normal" parallel setup on everything else in my garage.

The shorter (5000TL) model works in the more "normal" parallel setup for C7s, but is too short for many other vehicles.

I can't speak to your second question.

Went with the Quick Jack 5000. They work great for my 19GS. Never extended the height as you asked, while very solid and stable I would not push the envelope.
Got mine at Home Depot at a great price with military discount.

Thanks for input, and Dan thank you for your service ,

My main concern about the extended height was how well the quickjack lowers with no weight on it, if it struggles to go down or goes very slowly my plan may need re thought

They go down fine, slowly, they do not struggle to go down without weight unless they were not setup properly as per instructions

I have the quick jack 5000TLX for my C5, TLX is actually about 1-2inches to long. I have to use a short rubber block with puck in the rear and just a large rubber block on the front with no puck. Works well that way, make sure the large rubber block in the front does not hit the fiberglass under the car and it’s fine. Never got extra height out of it, and never tried it on a C7.
