One of our c7s (2015) clear targa top is starting to have a crack. Whats my least expensive option? A ebay used one or is there a clear replacement part I can order from GM? Its never flew off in traffic or anything like that, all latches work great, frame great just the clear part is starting to crack from the Florida heat.
FWIW, I went with a new GM piece a couple of years ago, and remain happy with the transaction. Price was one of the best available (for new GM), the top was packed well for transit, and it arrived promptly.

I assume you didn't go to them and had it shipped to you? I kind found it too expensive so I drove to them and had them redo the top in fiberglass so it was opaque, They left the metal ring off so I could have it painted and then installed it for me. Worked well till I sold the car.
Actually, it was cheaper to get the transparent top changed than buying a new one since I wasn't a fan of the sun shining in.

I did the same. I had the solid body color top, but wanted the OEM transparent one as well. Was very pleased with Melrose!

Melrose Tops seem to be a good option for a replacement top. Or check the C7 Parts for Sale section for one being sold used. You can also post a wanted to buy thread in that same section.

Melrose usually includes shipping in the cost. At least mine was that way.
But hypothetically, if it did, insurance would cover? Less the deductible, of course?
Not worth it for a new top. Ethics aside, if you go that route its fairly likely to show up on a Carfax report and hurt your value in the future. Considering the cost of the roof, and that its nothing insurance should even be covering anyways, just buy another.
