Default My Stupid Self!!!

Well a second of distraction and bam! I scraped the front lower bumper... I damaged the front spoiler, marker light, left air dam, and the fender flare. Luckily, only a paint scuff but not paint damage. That polished out. I ordered parts, mostly aftermarket due to GM availability issues. Nothing comes with any hardware, unlike OE GM, but it should be able to reuse all the hardware. So I guess I'll have a rehab project soon! Something to do over the Holiday break...

I hate to look, but you have pictures? I had to take the entire front off mine, not really that hard. Repainted at custom paint shop, not that much. Looks like new now.

Not much to see actually. Only really visible damage is the damaged side marker light. Nothing major to take off other than the front spoiler. Only pain on that is drilling out the rivets, which I may not replace and use the bolt points and 3M heavy duty tape. Everything else is easy access.

If you have to replace the side marker light, the black out ones look nice. They actually are way brighter than OEM.

I have the ACS side markers, so I ordered a set to replace with same. They are the smoked pair. The extra will be a spare in case I do something stupid again!

Are the ACS side lights the ones with two lights on each marker?

Yes, they are. Strangely enough, I prefer that "look" to the line of lights. More factory look.

For the spoiler you can use plastic scrivets in place of the metal rivets. I did that once. They're easier to remove if the spoiler needs to be replaced again, which is likely.

Do you recall the size/type you used? Amazon is full of different types...

The exact ones I have are discontinued but these are almost identical. 8mm diameter. I had to drill the holes out slightly but these scrivets were very stought and it made the spoiler solid. Too bad you didn't leave close or I'd just give you a handful.

Amazon Amazon

The biggest issue is finding OEM parts. The front flares are not in stock anywhere so far. The aftermarket part that I got via eBay is bad quality and looks awful. Only part that I've been able to replace of good quality are the ACS side markers, as expected. The front spoiler is via Amazon vendor but I'm debating sending that back and try again. Also, not the best. I guess with time and patience I'll get it done...

Well, what do you know some more searching and one of the online GM vendors lists it as available. Waiting on confirmation.

So, the Flares were not really in stock! Got an email cancelling order. The hunt continues.

Well, I had to pay a little more but found a GM online dealer via eBay that had 1 passenger side flare for sale. Let's see if this one gets shipped...
