I just purchased a 2017 Z06, I watched some disturbing YouTube videos on the ease of stealing GM and various other manufacturer's vehicles, so what have you all done to make it more difficult to steal your Corvette?
Keeping it in the garage and a faraday pouch for your key is the easiest. Second would be removing starter or fuel pump fuse when leaving it parked for longer than a day outside (or don't do that at all). There are also some expensive technology solutions that wire into your car and require codes or an additional fob to start the vehicle.
Regardless if someone really wants your car and it's parked outside, they are just going to pull your car up on a flatbed, drive around the block and deactivate your alarm and Onstar before you even realize your car is gone and have any chance of tracking it. Nothing is going to protect your car in that situation. Park in a private garage over night and protect your keyfob from being repeated with a faraday pouch while you sit in a restaurant or are out and about.
Also a Soler Throttle Controller can disable the drive by wire feature. Meaning essentially if they get the car started it will idle, but pressing the gas pedal does nothing.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Soler throttle body. It was easy to install and it took out the initial off the line hesitation. I recommend it!
But I had a bad experience with their throttle controller that I'd purchased just for the theft protection feature. It malfunctioned while I was parked way up in the mountains. When I tried to start the engine it began running so rough that I thought it was going to throw a rod! Fortunately, I had a 10mm socket wrench to pull the gas pedal and remove the relay. Soler has great customer service, and they refunded my money, no problem.

Sorry for any confusion:
Installed the Soler throttle body April 2024 and love it!
Installed the Soler throttle controller in August 2024 and uninstalled a few weeks later after it malfunctioned.
Installed the Mobilistics kill switch relay today, 1/9/2025. So far I like it.

I have good insurance to mitigate my loss and I didn't buy a Silverado 1500? LIST
Maybe the best people to ask are those who have the most to lose should your car be stolen. My loss is $500. The insurance company's loss is in the tens of thousands. If they felt something would work and would give me a discount to show they believe in it, I'm listening. I don't listen to the salespeople peddling the "theft deterrent" products.
I know of several Z06s stolen locally so apparently they're in high demand, usually used for side shows then destroyed or stripped afterwards. Here's what I did: cover your dash vin number so they can't use the vin to clone their own FOB. Use a OBD2 port lock to prevent them plugging in a programmer, Use a steering wheel lock. Use a remotely activated relay or fuse kill switch. Use a hidden GPS tracker. On Star doesn't work because that's usually the first thing they'll disable and toss.

That's great for recovery but not for theft prevention. I see how it helps the insurer but how does it help me? I'm not going to find the vehicle, bring my posse there to beat the crap out of them and take the car back so I have to hope the cops get there in time. Say they do and all that is broken is the window, fine. IF it is being stripped, probably don't want to get it back, hassle with the insurance about restoring it back to previous shape. You take my car, I want you as far away as possible and not get caught with it. IF I can't be sure it is the shape before theft, I don't want it and the hassle.
I keep my Corvette in our locked garage. The car is locked with The Club attached to the steering wheel. I recently bought a Solar Throttle Controller. I have not installed it yet as the temp is around 20° today with 7 inches of snow and more on the way. Plus, I have agreed value insurance policy.

So you are covered 6 ways to Sunday, as they say. Talking to the companies, only the tracking device get any discount. They would rather you recover the vehicle and they spend say $20k to restore it than to pay you $50k to replace it. I can't imagine what you want with a theft recovery titled vehicle but I guess. Like I said, I want you as far as possible if you steal my car but that's me.
Have you checked with your insurance company and asked how much they believe in these gimmicks to prevent theft? Belief can be quantified easily by the number following the $ sign. Ask them, you might be surprised.

Check out Revelco. They claim their device has never been defeated. The downside is that the "key" is clunky and you'd need to find a suitable place to mount.
If car theft ring pros really want it, they usually get it. I'm insured with an agreed on value, so I'm more concerned about wheel theft stranding me on blocks on overnight road trips.
In the meantime, this stick-like thing scares away the amateurs.
If I was a thief, I'd love to come on here & read who has done what & then I know what to look for on any C7 I'm thinking about stealing if it doesn't start. Any pro thief will know all the tricks available.
Good insurance, don't be dumb in where you park, sleep well.

I don't have to worry about where I park. I do go to such places. I actively avoid passing through those places unless there is no choice. If you have to worry about where you parked, maybe you need to ask if you should even be there. If I was driving a Brinks armored truck, I guess I would since it would be part of my job when I am on duty. Off duty, pass.
