Gauges Stopped working properly
I searched and found an old thread that provided me with this pic but no real answer to the issue. The old thread was about a manual C7, mine is an auto, but the problem appears to be the same. Auto detailer left the doors open while cleaning the car and battery went dead. I used a hotshot to get it started and back into the garage, then put a low amp (2) charger on it for six hours. Removed the charger and the car started fine, but the gauges would not work properly. The pic seems to be the default no matter what I do try and change it. Pressing the left button on the right steering wheel controls, moving up and down the options then pressing the right button just returns to the pic above. Can't even access the settings. I had radio issues with the first battery which was going bad so I thought that was what was going on in this instance. I replaced the battery but when I started it, the problem was not resolved. I was hoping someone has run across this issue and resolved it before I schlepp it over to the Chevrolet dealer for a diagnosis. Anyone else run into this?

Once you have those choices Select Settings, then follow the directions in the picture below to choose whichever display mode you want.

Your battery is suspect if it died that quickly...
You will lose window indexing and possibly radio presets, seat memory, and display settings depending how long the car is without power. I would personally run through all of the settings menus at some point once you have a known good battery.
You are in Sport mode (S in box at bottom center of DIC) with a Sport mode display. Does the display layout change when you turn the rotary **** on the console to select Tour or TRack mode? If not, your display is locked in Sport mode. You need to set display mode to Link to Drive Mode or choose the display mode that you prefer.
- using the right thumb buttons: Scroll left, then up/down to settings. Press OK. You should then be in the center.
- scroll up/down to Display Theme - scroll right
- select Tour, Sport, Track, or Link as desired. Press OK. You should be in the center.
- scroll to the left and up/down to Info or Perf. Press OK. You should be back in the center.
- scroll up/down until you find a sub display you like
- if in Tour personality you can scroll right and choose pocket gauges
Have fun exploring your display choices!

The car is one big computer.
After the battery is fully charged, with the neg cable removed, reconnect cable. This will reset all your computers.
Do the easy stuff first.

You may need to use a scan tool and see if there are any codes that address the issue. An OBD2 scanner won't cut the mustard as you need to see the body codes that are specific to GM cars. Errors that show up in features outside of the engine/ABS may not have any warning indicator other than the feature doesn't work. There are a lot of body codes that can't be seen by anything other than a full-featured scanner.
Here is a video showing reconfiguration of the display:

Ensure your +12V and GND battery connections are good and there is a proper +12V level being delivered to the steering wheel.
Hope this helps.

The last time I had a battery issue the radio would fade in and out and the alt gauge was fluctuating but otherwise the car started fine and ran fine. It ain't like the old days when if the battery was dying, the car just wouldn't start anymore.
But thanks for all the helpful suggestions and now I'll wait to see what weird stuff the car will do the next time the battery needs replacing.
