2024 C7 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Default New jacket

Picked up flight fight jacket from Amazon then took it to the local embroidery shop that does work for the Ponce Inlet Corvette Club. I think she a nice job, I am very happy with it.

Looks nice, but why no club logo or C7 logo since you posted in C7 general?

I am no longer a member of Ponce Inlet Corvette club, so would not be right to bear their logo.
I am not sure what C7 logo you are talking about, I has the C7 crossed flags in two places.

You have the C6 generation logo on the jacket. That’s why I thought you posted in the wrong forum. Below is the C7 logo.

Jacket still looks good.

Well I will be dipped, , I will have to check with her, I probably missed the difference, I guess I never really looked at the C6 emblem to notice the difference.
Back to the embroidery shop on Monday to see if it can be fixed, I guess.

Thanks for setting me straight, I won't make that mistake again.

I wouldn't worry about it.

99% of the general public wouldn't know the difference (just us C7 lovers here on the forum)

It's the same thing with the Stingray, vs. the Grand Sport, vs. the Z06. 99% of the public doesn't know the difference.

Enjoy your jacket. It looks cool.

The C7 Corvette lettering is also a little different as the “C” connects into the “O”. I agree that 99.99999% won’t notice it though. Good luck with the shop. Nice jacket either way.

Jacket still looks good no matter what emblem you display, they will know you are a Corvette owner!

To all that mentioned it, I asked about having the C7 crossed flags added below the C6 flags, but the gal at the shop does not have the program for the C7 crossed flags.
I have it listed for sale on Face Book Market place, if it does not sell I may just go ahead and wear it anyway, it is a nice jacket and it still looks good.

You might consider listing it in the C6 Corvette forum where you'll reach a more focused set of potential customers than FB usually does. GLWS!

I did that and the listing disappeared overnight, figure maybe I violated some obscure forum rule or something, no notes from the moderators or anything like that, so I just moved it to FB.

Honestly, I would not worry about it! Most people will not know the difference. Those that do will probably think you had a previous Generation of Corvette.

When, I bought my C4, the previous owner, a friend, lifted me a a ruffout C4 leather jacket.

When, I bought my C6 in 2006, I had a National Corvette Museum Delivery. I got a C6 leather Bomber Jacket at the NCM Store.

I had the C4/C6 and the C4/C7 at the same time. I switched jackets, depending on the weather.

The non-Vette people only saw the Corvette. At Corvette Judging Events, the only comment was "Nice jacket" or "Where did you get that jacket"?

Wear it with pride! If anyone asks, tell them, "I am allowed to like more than one Generation of Corvette".

I still wear both jackets, depending on the weather.
