I would like to know if a Corvette Signature Dealer would accept My Chevrolet Rewards points for something other than routine maintenance service. I spend winters here in Fort Myers, Florida and have my 2014 C7 with me. After I was here for a week or so, the left front headlight went out. If I was home, I think it is a project I could take care of as I have a quickjack lift. However, I don't have what I need to get it done here and I haven't been driving it much due to the bad light. I contacted two Chevrolet dealers near me, explained my situation and asked if they would replace the light and use my rewards as a partial payment. No response in any manner from either dealer. Do they only accept these reward points for routine maintenance issues like oil changes? I have a hard time paying $300.00 for a headlight I know I could change myself at home. Again, just curious about this situation.
Thanks for the replies. I thought I could use the rewards in this manner but wanted to verify it if before I contacted another dealer. It would make an expensive headlight a bit easier to take. There is a Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Dealership nearby in Naples that is a Corvette Signature Dealer. I will go see them and see what they tell me.
I took the advice on here and went to Victory Lane Chevrolet here in Fort Myers to talk to them in person. They are a Corvette Signature Dealer. I explained about the headlight, told them that I wanted both changed at the same time and I would be using My Rewards points. While talking to one of the service reps, he mentioned they have to take off the front bumper and I advised him I was aware of that. I asked them for a total and they told me it would be $300 per side (2 hours of labor for each bulb) plus the bulbs. I was shocked since I thought since the bumper was already off for one, it wouldn't take 2 hours to replace the other one. I thanked them but stated that over $700.00 for headlights was too steep for me.
However, they were a better price than Rick Hendrick in Naples. They quoted me $1080.00 for one. I guess I will wait till I get back to Ohio and just drive it during the day.

Reason: more information
I may not have been clear. This is just to replace the headlight bulbs. It would be $300.00 labor for each side with an additional $202.49 each for 2 bulbs. Parts and labor for headlight bulbs would be $1004.98. I didn't wait to hear how much the actual bulbs were as I can do the job myself when I have access to my tools. at home. The bulbs themselves can be purchased for a bit less according to this forum. Unless I am mistaken, once the bumper cover is off, both bulbs can be replaced. At least that was my impression after watching a video on how the replacement is done. So, yes, I am shocked that a headlight bulb, an item that is clearly not intended to last indefinitely and is a common replacement item on a vehicle should cost over $1,000.00. I guess my age is showing!
