Almost no steel to rust.. The body is plastic and Aluminum and will be just fine.. I am on my 3rd C7 driven all year long.. Not much snow here in Oklahoma, mostly just Ice and prune juice put down to keep the roads from icing..
Right after the recent snow fall in ATL, "parked" near each other, I saw a C6Z, C7 and C8Z all wrecked that weekend. Wide tires and ice are a bad combo.
In the Atlanta area, likely they didn't have A/S tires or snow tires.
Our 'vettes have done ok in some snow using the Michelin A/S runflats, see pic below.
But one time I backed it out of the garage in about an inch of snow while still on the summer tires, couldn't even get it back into the garage without someone pushing.
Some would same the same about a Corvette that never gets driven. Then again some would say it's none of their business and carry on with their own life.
As long as we are talking about driving in the winter.
Just don't confuse All Season tires with winter tires, totally different spec. A/S only means the rubber is good down to negative temperatures. There are many very high performance tires that are A/S. Also, for summer tires, it isn't about performance being bad in cold weather, which they are very bad, it's the possibility of the rubber cracking. It can be catastrophic if you are driving a summer tire in to cold a temp and they crack and fall apart.

Way to ruin a C7; driving on salted roads in winter. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. I had to do a double take. Corvette owners around here don't typically drive their car in winter.
What is the salt going to do to it? The body is fiberglass, the chassis is aluminum, the engine is aluminum, and there are some steel bolts and cast iron brake rotors. The rotors are wear items and the bolts won't rust that badly. As the T Shirt says, when it's quiet out at night you can hear metal cars rusting. The last Corvettes with steel frames were the base and GS versions of the C6. There isn't a lot to hurt, especially if the driver avoids the wet patches. The salt dust on the car can be washed off without damage to the finish.

I'm not sure who sets the standards for a tire to be called "All Season", but the Michelin A/S we've used on our Corvettes also had a tread pattern that was noticeably different from the summer tires.
Of course. But there are many A/S brands and styles of tires. What makes it All Seasons it the temp rating. They don't freeze and crack like summer tires do.
The Pirelli P Zero in an all season tire but specifically not a winter tire.
These new Ultra High Performance All Season tires are all kinds of great.. I have the new PS4S A/S on my Z06 and they are nice below 0f.. They are better than summer tires 8 to 10 months a year and in the rain.. The PSS that came on the C7 are about 5% to 10% better than the PS4S in July and Aug, Maybe Jun to Sep in the lower states..
