DOD AFM delete video
I came across a pair of short videos that are very interesting…
A guy produced a video series about DOD AFM Delete on his recent generation GMC Yukon Denali. While the video series is not specifically about Corvette, the engine is the same design of our LT1.
These videos may not be of interest to many people that care little about mechanical teardowns, the videos depict the damage that can be around the corner for each and every C7 out there.
Video-1 - The guy compares DIY cost DOD AFM delete VS dealer cost DOD AFM repair. Also in this video, the guy plays a clip of the 'engine noise' caused by the failed lifter. You got to hear this..
He also shows the shredded cam and lifter.
It was interesting to learn in this video that the failed lifter WAS NOT one of the collapsible lifters.
Video-2 – The guy explains how the collapsible valve lifter system works
Both videos are short, very informative and well worth a view.
He has a two part video series of the complete teardown and reassembly of DOD delete. These videos are long but he does a good job documenting the Delete procedure. Links are in his video descriptions.

Thank you! I have not yet viewed either video, but I will. I've been very interested in what's involved for the lifter swap. Not that I have any plans to do it; just curious.
