I just did mine, the only difficulty was navigating the dry sump lines. Used a GM carbon impregnated filter, tight fit but it went in easily.

So, finally got the K&N reusable filter mostly because the frame is rubber and stiffer than the O&M cardboard frame. It was a tight fit, but it didn't crush going in like the cardboard types. Need to wash this one every 10,000 miles which is about 14 months for me. The odometer reads 99,600 miles so first cleaning will be about 110,000 miles. Wish I had done this 70,000 miles ago.
