Default 2019 Corvette

Never owned anything newer than 1971 Corvette. Now looking at 2019 Lt1 Convertible and 2017 Coupe. Live in Ohio, pros and cons of the two.

Pictures of both! Are they both Automatics/manual? Mileage of each? More information would be helpful.

I personally like the coupe looks. Ohio is cold enough a coupe, you would get more use. Love your C3, I had the 68 in red.

Ha Ha, I'm to old for convertibles now, like the quiet ride. Coupe is my choice.

Convertible is quieter with the top and down vs a coupe.

I was on the Freeway, with the top down, doing the speed limit, when, my Wife called.

I closed the windows and answered the phone. She was surprised she did not hear any noise.

Remember, the area above the axle, which is where most of the sound comes from, is covered in a convertible. It is an open sound source in a coupe.

My vert is quiet. I had a coupe as well. I like the vert but it has far less storage. Both of mine were stick. Love pushing a button to make the top go down when I want to which is every chance I get.

Hatchback model is like your 71 t-top
Convertible is like your 71 convertible.
Too many hardships with the 2014 - 2019 hatchback...

I'm an old fart. This one is my 6th (and last one) and it's the first convertible I've had. Wish I'da done it sooner!!! But I also live in SW Fla now so it's warm a bit longer tan it was in upstate NY. lol

If you like convenient open air driving, choose the convertible. The targa takes more effort. But the targa has more storage space and I like the looks of the car better.

But your choice. Would help if you were more specific on the option packages on each car - an LT1 is an engine while the 1LT/2LT/3LT are option packages.

Incorrect.
The hatchback is loud when driving.

Those 2 cars are light years apart, the C7 will do everything better...it's safer, faster, more tech, better fuel economy, better handling, better braking...the C3 has the better body style

Service writer said the 19 is the best, has the least problems. I had a coupe, added insulation and it was still too noisy so went to the vert. Nice and quiet and the cabin cools faster so if I was up north the cabin would warm up faster.

Ditto for c4,c5,c6. ^^^

The C3 and C7 are so, so, much alike in their styling. That's why I bought both new. I just had to have one! The C7 has the better body style though.

Everything Chevrolet had was poured into the C7. Everything!

As well, it's the best looking Corvette ever made when introduced.

All essentially nothing but personal preference. Of course, I have manuals and avoid any possible auto issues, but simply your call. Enjoy whatever you get.

I live in NE Indiana. '15 convertible here. There is nothing cheap or loud about the C7 convertible. After 3 years of ownership, I still notice how quiet the convertible is with the top up. Up or down, there is no discernable chassis flex, squeaks, rattles, or annoyance. Wind noise is also extremely well managed with normal conversation at 55 mph. Even at highway speeds you don't have to yell.

What's the problem ? Either you want a convertible or you don't . That question should make up your mind .

The C7 is a great Corvette. I have a 78 C3 which I ordered and bought brand new, but I love the C7. I have a 2019 Grand Sport... really love it.
. There were more than 189,500 C7s built so you should be able to find one that meets your desires. Good luck finding the right one for you. Its worth it.
