As I recall, the cooling ducts on the body of a convertible, are not active. That part puts the air where it is needed.

Interestingly shaped. Looks like it would create a low pressure area that should pull in some air. It also looks like it might help keep debris from hitting the cooler.

yes, I have since lifted one side and noticed that it seems to protect the cooling fins more then aid in cooling, or maybe does both.
i was more concerned about fitting some jacks in that space and now i see I can.
