Hi. I am a new member and still learning my way around, so apologize ahead of time if I have posted my question in the wrong forum.
After a front crash that only broke my 2017 C7 (Stingray base) front bumper cover, I had it replaced with a Z06 bumper cover, Z06 grill and bumper lips. The bodyshop seated my bumper in perfectly (as I can see along my fenders, but the hood now appears to be misaligned by 10mm horizontally (closer to passenger fender), vertically (on driver side close to the windshield), and now I can also observe a 5mm gap between the hood (front) and bumper... basically need the hood to move forward horizontally by 5mm. I also noted two of the four bumper to hood-hinge connection screws loose! Took the car back to the bodyshop, and they claimed they didn't do anything to the hinges, but I know someone messed with them. So, I'll need to align the hood myself.
I looked online, and besides an ACS hood video where they say uninstall the bumper cover to start adjusting, I don't see anything specific to actually showing how to align. Anyone here can help with pointing me to a video please? If you need me to take pics and attach, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Wow... It is pretty involved and very much trial and error way. Thanks a bunch for the video link ... very helpful. Only my bumper cover was damaged and my panels and hood were perfect even before they started the repairs. So, the bodyshop should have never messed around with the hood !!!
