New
Hello everyone I am new to the forums and also new to the corvette community, I recently purchased a 2018 c7 and I am loving it. I have a quick question, when between 1-2k rpm my car feels as if it is stuttering and I was wondering if a triple flush would fix this or maybe someone can explain to me what’s happening. Thanks guys, look forward to see you in the forum!

Thank you, the car currently has 39538 miles on it, the car was serviced regularly. This typically happens when I am at a cruising speeds 45+. Feels like either the engine or transmission isn’t smooth at all times, it’s not like the engine is having a hard time as it runs fine. I do know all fluids were just changed including the differential. Sorry it is hard to explain how it feels but stutter is the best word.

Is it possible that your cruising in economy mode and the AFM is actively changing to 4 cylinders?

The car stays in sport or tour, mostly sport. I plan on getting a range to install to disable the AFM as I hear this is a good thing to do.

Is your car a M7 or A8? If A8 i think your car will always activate the AFM in any mode except Track mode. Not 100% sure, but its definitely a good thing to use the Range device!

A8 and the AFM is only inactive when the car is put in M and use the paddle shifters.

here's a video I found where he talks about the fluid flush and how it seems to have fixed his car.

If putting the car in manual mode and the problem persists, have it checked by a good tech. Could be a triple flush would solve the problem.

It's possible that you need the triple flush, your local Chevy dealer can run a GMVIS report to see if the flush has been done or not

I have a 2015 A8 and I have the same issue in normal drive mode, but never in the manual mode. I am taking mine in next week for the triple flush.
