With the recent threads on stolen cars, I started looking around to see what protection was on the market. I saw several variants of this style that looked like they'd be fairly effective. Does anyone here have any experience with these?
From the description, it looks like it is easily defeatable. Use a code stealer that crooks use for opening the door and try and start the car. If the car doesn't start, pop the hood, open the electrical center and pull out the relay adapter and plug the relay into its normal spot, close the electrical center and the hood and start the car.
My thought is that anything that makes your Corvette more difficult to steal is better than nothing. Last year several of our Corvette club members went on an overnight trip. One of our members had The Club steering wheel lock on his Corvette. The Corvettes on either side of his were tampered with and the only thing stopping them from being stolen was one of the guys in our club saw what was happening and ran out into the parking lot.

There is no relay adapter that would make the Mobilistics relay obvious. The Mobilistic relay just replaces the factory relay. And I doubt a thief is going to start an exploration as to why the car did not start, could be one of a half-dozen of possible antitheft devices sprinkled around the car....
Seems interesting, has anyone actually tried this out?
Works fine, no codes are set if an illegal start attempt is made. And it is passive arming, meaning that it arms automatically whenever the engine is shut off......many kill switches become ineffective because the driver gets lazy and just leaves it ON all the time.......
Awesome product. Not only does it improve your throttle response (you will think you are driving a whole other car!), but it has a lock feature. When turned on it disables your throttle. So someone can start your car, but when they step on the gas pedal nothing happens.
In the case of my car I keep the exhaust valves open, so it is pretty loud when you start it. Someone trying to steal my car probably would not want to stick around to figure out how to disable it. I also use a visible heavy duty club more as a deterrent.
Another neat feature of the Soler is the Valet Mode. In this mode it gives the car just enough power to park the car so no one will take it for a joy ride. The Soler is Bluetooth so all the settings can be accessed on your phone via their app.

I totally agree. No thief is going to start in depth diagnostics, especially when there could be 100 things to look at.
I purchased a Revelco unit. I putt the "key" out and the car will NOT start. I have used it on my truck and my brother has put it on his 2006 Vette. It works great.
They would have to have another relay with them to install. This is not an adapter. It’s a relay that replaces the factory relay. It would stop amateurs for sure and it’s inexpensive IMO.

If you work in an orthopedic ward, you are going to see a lot of ortho problems. You work for Chevy and seems like everything problematic is a Chevy. When you look at the statistics of stolen cars, you see that you don't even crack the top 10.

Thank you for posting the link. I have airtags zip tied throughout mine, but should consider upping my protection. Looking forward to a dashcam install next month.

I almost bought the Revelco until I saw the videos how easy they are override, in just a matter of minutes! Saved my money and got the Soler Throttle Controller instead. Great throttle disabler plus the benefits of better throttle response!
