Was cleaning car, came across this under dash, looks to be connected into port where scanner is connected, name is guide point systems, looks like a gps tracker, I googled , doesn’t look to be standard equipment. Anyone have experience with this?
Drive to another town to a mall parking lot, unplug it and smash the crap out of it. That way if someone is tracking your car, the last known position is not your house.
Insurance companies give out such... almost automatically these days (or, so it seems from my experience) and give a modest discount if it is used. I was sent one without request or explanation in the mail when I bought my wife a new sedan 6-months ago. It came in a mutilated envelop, which I took back to the agent's office when I needed to stop by anyway and they quickly pulled out another to replace what they thought was a missing one by the looks of the envelope. This was all done before I had a chance to tell them I was not interested.
