Yikes - I'm trying to figure out what took out the bottom of the bellhousing since the drivec shaft is still together? Did the whole bellhousing shatter all the way around? I'm intrigued...

Did that to my Vette on the track. Replaced the rubber connectors with billet aluminum ones instead.

I'm guessing you increased the noise, harshness and vibration by doing that vs rubber?

Yup. Also replaced the motor output shaft to one that was straighter to help minimize it. Low in the RPM range I get a little more vibration and a bit of metallic chatter. At cruising speed it's like normal, so just starting from a stop.

That's a lot of damage - good luck with the repair.

It looks like something covered by the bell housing let loose, taking the bottom of the bell housing with it. Used to see a similar type of damage when a clutch or flywheel exploded at the drag strip.

Warn me next time I'll put in some earplugs. You certainly have some fixing. What were you doing when that let go.
