Default OEM C7 Tow Hook

Is it one size fits all? Same tow hook for the C7 Stingray, Grand Sport and Z06? Asking because mine was missing from my Stingray when I bought it. I replaced the missing piece with an oem tow hook. Here is why I'm asking the question...I wanted to check the fitment, but the tow hook wouldn't fit through the Stingray grill. Now....if it was actually needed, I could have forced it through! But just to check fitment, I didn't want to skin up the grill's paint. Thanks in advance......

They're all the same and they were only provided on the export cars.

The styrofoam top over the battery has a location for the tow hook but a tow hook did not come with the car when it was sold new in the United States.

In addition, early cars in the US....2014 and I think some portion of the 2015 model year....did not come with the receiver in front.

Right, if you have a 2014, I know the car did not come with the receiver for the tow hook. There is an access panel on the upper passenger side of the front grill that can be removed and if equipped the receiver is behind there.

Thanks for the information! My car is a 2016......I will look to see if there is a portion of the grill that can be removed. My Camaro has a removable panel like mentioned.

When I got my 2014, it didn't come with a toe hook, so I purchased one, DOH! Now I have a toe hook that I can't use.

Our 2017 Z51 has the receivers but did not come with a hook, so I purcha$ed one and store it in the indentation over the battery.
There are receivers both front and rear for the hook. The front requires popping out a small piece of the grill, the rear requires removing a small cover under the rear bumper.
I've been told that the GS and Z06 don't require removing a piece of the grill.
There has been lots of discussion about which C7s have the receiver, the only way to know for sure is to look carefully and see if you have the threaded receiver front or rear or both.
Like many things with GM, you need to verify for yourself.

My 2014, Z51 has no "receiver" in front. I was wondering why.

Did you get the GM tow hook? Do you want to sell it? If you don't want a lot of money for it I might be interested!
