Default I'm Back!!!!

So after a year and a half with my second C8, I decided to come back to the world of C7. I missed the manual and the true tradition of a front engine missile. I bought a 2018 Watkins Grey Grand Sport Manual. The C8 in the driveway is what I sold. It was a 2024 2LT Z51 with AWE Exhaust and some wheels. I loved the car but really missed the C7.

Welcome back! I also still enjoy the manual transmission sports car! Don’t think I could enjoy a corvette any other way.

Welcome back to "the fold". My C7 is my last one for precisely the reason you stated!

Nothing like having the M7

Welcome back the C7 is 100% better looking........... I knew my C7 was my last NEW Corvette after GM turned the C8 Corvette into a American made European looking mid engine exotic supercar. I like the American made Front Engine Sportscar / Muscle car..........

MY 2017 Z06 will be my last Vette ever because I have never owned an auto sports car & never will.

My first Vette was a C1 I had in high school in 1968 with 4speed & Hurst Competition Plus shifter & I loved it. Now, I have both a C1 resto-mod & a C7 Z06. The C1 is a TKO Tremec 5 speed & the Z06 is an M7 with a Tick shifter.

I have driven a couple C8's & they bored me. IMHO you drive a Vette with a stick, you ride in a Vette with an automatic......

Welcome back. I have an M7 Z51 Laguna blue. I do like a manual. Children ride with me sometimes and I think it is such a treat for them.

Congrats and a gorgeous C7! I agree that there's something about a manual, and I do also miss those days. Enjoy that badass ride!

That's a nice Grand Sport. Agree about manual transmission. It's a must for me. All my corvettes have been manual starting with my C5 Z.

I am driving the last Corvette I will ever buy. 2019 Grand Sport 2LT M7 convertible. A true American sports car. Two things I had to have, manual 7 speed and a rag top convertible for cruising Highway 1. Nothing comes close to the visceral feeling of WOT on the coastal highway. Welcome back to the last real Corvette.
