I had the triple flush done finally so I can drive it in the Automatic mode. I have always run it in the manual mode and used the paddles. Now that it is done I have yet to see that show on the dash. I have have been at a lot of different speeds and like I said it never shows.

Could the car have been tuned to inhibit the V4 mode?
If you are in any drive mode besides Track, the V4 should light up when ever the car decides you do not nee all 8 cylinders.
Having said that, I did have one occasion on my 2019 when the AFM did not kick in at all for one trip to work, no obvious reason why it would have done that, on the trip home from work it all worked as expected. Never noticed it doing it again.
