Alright, Im looking for some dry performance summer tire setup recommendations. I have a manual C7 that puts down just under 600hp at the wheel. Currently I run Yokohama ADVAN APEX, just wanting something more sticky for the summertime as I am planning to move to a summer/winter setup. I have heard tons of good things about the Toyo R888R, some input on Conti's as well as a Nitto setup, I believe it's the NT555 G2 and NT05? What are people's favorites and are there any others that I am missing that I should consider? I just want something that can handle the power and that can also corner. As I said I plan to move to a summer/winter tire setup, so not looking for anything all season and also don't really need them to be run flats, as my current setup is not run flat. Im fairly hard on the car, and drive it very aggressively. Live in Dallas, summers are hot, and the car never see's the rain. Current tire setup is: Front: 265 35 R19 Rear: 305 30 R20
The current hot 200TW autocross tires are RE71RS and A052. The AO52 is known for better accel out of turns. Not sure how this would translate for your use but it's a data point. Look up tire tests at Tire Rack and Grassroots Motorsports to get an idea how these would be on the street. For one thing, 200TW tires are known to be bad at temps below about 50F. OTOH have you considered some drag radials?
