Default C7 seat identification

I just bought a set of c7 seats off of Marketplace. The guy I bought them from has no idea what year they came out of. These are going in a c5 z06. From what I understand is that the early c7 seats had a different harness connection that the later c7 seats. Is there a way to tell by looking at the seats…or a number to tell what year they are?

That silver emblem just under the headrest indicates it's from a later year I think. I had a 2015 Z51 and there weren't emblems. Recently got a 2019 GS and it has emblems. Not sure what year the break point was, but maybe 2017+? I think there were numerous changes starting with the 2017 year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

My 2014 seat has that emblem on it - I believe it was there in the 2LT and up trim packages. IIRC, the harness connection for the C7 seats changed during the 2018 model year.

IIRC, the most obvious difference is in the wiring harness. I don't know the exact year it changed, however.

Need a pic of the harness under the seat. 2018/2019 are more rectangular in nature than the 2014-2017 cars.

Yep, I have a 2017 1LT and it don't have the emblems.
I saw some emblems for sale but it requires punching a hole to install. I don't have the ***** of steel to attempt something like this.

....so you have a 2014-2017 2LT seat. Somewhere on the seat or on a piece of trim you'll stumble across some scribbles from a line worker and/or a sticker with the manufacture date of whatever part or trim piece you find it on. Doesn't really matter since to my knowledge the pin-out is the same for all 4 model years.

2LT and 3LT had the emblems. Nice looking seats. I hope you got a good deal, they look great.
