Default Grille Package

Hey guys!
As of this weekend, I'm a new C7 owner, and the one minor thing I want to change with my car is the trim color.
The previous owner got the EFX package, so the entire car is Shark Gray.
I love the gray; I just feel the standard Carbon Flash trim color helps accent the car and lines.

I'm seeing a ton of knock off parts that I imagine would fade within a week, so I'm curious if anyone knows of a reliable marketplace to get quality parts.
I priced it out through a GM parts catalog and it was around $1,100 for all the vents, spoiler, hood vent, and rear tail light surrounds.
The RPO was only $600 so it kills me to pay almost double to undo it...

Any insight? Thanks!

Pic for reference! Glad to have finally joined the family!

My personal opinion - drop the braces-esk grill and replace it with a Z06 grill.

https://extremeonlinestore.com/produ...EDKWTC5P-AKMOT

Edit - I didn't notice they were gray and not carbon black. Yes - I agree, I would like the contrast of the mentioned parts in carbon black > gray. Your car - your choice Do what makes you happy.

I have a 2015 in Velocity Yellow, and while it came with all the trim in Carbon Flash all the emblems were chrome. I changed the two flags front and back, the Corvette script and the two stingray emblems. I actually found them on Amazon, but they were not the cheap China emblems, they were GM original and came from a Corvette supplier in Orlando, Fl. The option from the factory was $100, I think I spent close to $400.

I replaced window trim on my Mercedes from chrome to black and like BWF07 mentioned, paid a lot more afterwards than had I ordered it originally.

Congrats of the car! Looks like a nice Z51 or ZF1!

Me, I like love chrome, so I'd leave things the way they are, especially the grille with the chrome bar.

But, as the saying goes, 'your car-your rules'. Whatever you do is perfect as long as you're happy with the finished product.

Enjoy!

The EOS Z06 style grille is surprisingly cheap compared to other vents and spoilers. I put one on mine and I love it. I actually like the silver vents on yours since it sets it apart. All I would do is change out the grille and add a front splitter. Just another opinion.

Note:
If you get a Z06 grille, you will need a new Aeroplate mount and scrivets since the stock one can't be transferred to a Z grille. I got it at Cultrag performance but I am not sure they are in business anymore.

Oh geez! My mistake! I read your post wrong; I just realized you have the body-painted vents, etc. Yeah, I'd want carbon flash black on them, too.

But I still love chrome.

The Kalahari interior with the Grey exterior and trim looks very classy.
Doesn't look like every other Grey, Black trim, Black interior C7.

Looks great as is. Personally I wouldn't have a Stingray any other way. Never liked the black plastic looking rear vents especially.

Beautiful color on that C7... that Shark Gray almost looks like a champagne color. Very nice.

If you are going Carbon Flash Accents, you might also think about the Carbon Flash Stinger.

I would go with carbon flash side skirts....front splitter...rock guards and replace all chrome emblems and Yes! a z06 grill...maybe blackout turn signal lights and rear reflectors...add a carbon flash stinger hood decal

Very nice car you have. My preference would be having carbon flash highlights on the car. You might want to post a wanted to buy thread and list those items you are seeking - someone may have them available at a good price.

Man you guys are swaying me, and after driving the car for a few days, the trim is growing on me...
I do agree with @ChodaBoy that the Z06 style grille would be a nice touch; I don't plan on running a front plate so it needs to change regardless.

I'll leave the rear fender vents, and I'm still 50/50 on the front fender ones. And the rear needs... something. The same spoiler in black might be the right touch, I'll have to research other specs and see what works.

Also thanks @IA-SteveB for the tip about the grille! I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere so I'll definitely check on that when I go to purchase. And great idea @Vetteman Jack , I'd love to help out some people on the forum and I trust that over any 3rd party reseller...

I'll make an intro post soon once I have some time to get better photos, glad y'all enjoy the spec!!

The car is super clean. I really like it. I agree that it could use a front splitter. I'd probably do that first and then think on it some more.

If you decide that more contrast is what you want, I'd be tempted by a subtle center stripe, staying away from black.

If you're near Michigan, I have a Z06 grill. $75 + shipping. I bought but never installed it. Never took it out of the box.
