Question: Can anyone identify the wheels on this Corvette for sale? This is a 2016 Z51 2LT.
They look like Z06 wheels, but I know that those are not a graceful fit on a base model Stingray. Was this a factory option or are those after-market?
My memory is that those style wheels were original equipment only on the GS and Z06. If I'm correct that would make Stingray sized wheels of that style aftermarket. Great to have a memory test early in the morning.
these are definitely after-market reproduction Z06 wheels. They typically range around $850-$1,100 per set.
I haven't seen any posts on this forum about cracking or other issues with the repo wheels for the narrowbody C7.
Was tempted to buy them many years ago, but they weren't offered in silver, and would have cost >$400-500 to have them powder coated & mounted.

I think this cracking issue is limited to the Corvette wheels that were clearly not made correctly. I have had many different sports cars, and never had forged wheels and have never had an issue with cracking. I don't track my cars. I think this is an example of over compensating.
These are like mine but a different color.
How do you get "strength" from a cheap casting? Make everything much thicker. Don't buy any aftermarket cast wheels without first finding out the weights. Many cannot believe how heavy some turn out to be when unboxed. Just sayin'...
