C7 / Door / Electrical Issue
Good day everyone,
A few people seem to have this issue, but I couldn't find the definitive solution. This happens after I turn the engine off and open the door:
- Seat won't go back, unless I press and hold the setting button
- Infotainment stays on
- Window goes back up 1-2 seconds after and I have to push the door button again to move it back down
Someone explained it like "the car doesn't know that the door is open" which is a good description. It started doing that occasionally, but now it's almost constant. Should I start with a new battery or it's something else?
Edit: I have tried disconnecting the battery for a bit

First thing is you'll need a scan tool that can access the BCM and look for any trouble codes stored...also you would be looking at the data PID for the door and see if the input goes from 'inactive" to "unlock" when the door is opened or closed...if you don't have a scan tool like this find an automotive electrical specialist in your area.

Try making sure you are in park (auto) or the parking brake is set (manual).
