Default Tire Shine ......

I bought a set of Continentals. They have some sidewall surface scuffs. What do you guys use to get an even finish/coating on the sidewalls. Thanks.

Stoners tire shine is a fan favorite, available at Carlisle and people love it. Works well from my experience

I’ve had good luck with Adams tire shine but regardless of brand you may want to try a dedicated tire cleaner as it may remove some of the scuff or at least make it a little more unnoticeable.

I use Carpro Perl. No slinging and the tires don't turn brown after it wears off.

Tire shine? Why not just use high gloss black paint? Tires look best with a natural rubber look like with Aerospace 303.

Personally I'm not a fan of gloss tire shine. I use the Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing and it lasts all summer with one application. I highly recommend it.

I use Adams Polishes V.R.T. Goes on easily and leaves matte shine on the tires. Also does not fling off onto the side of the car.

I bought some liquid stuff at Walmart called "Black Magic" or something like that. I spray it onto a sponge and then apply it to the sidewall. My wife's Camry has low-profile tires on it (short sidewall) and it is easy to use. For my Mazda CX-30 and F-150 with a larger sidewall area, I kind of like the aerosol spray. Armor All and several other companies make their own version of it. The only drawback is that you have to try to avoid getting it on the wheel and it does take about 45 minutes to an hour for it to fully dry.

I have seen some rather persuasive advertisements for a tire shine product call Cerakote - but I have never tried it myself. When I had my C7, I recall some stuff by Adam's Polishes that worked pretty well. It was not a daily driver, so the shine tended to last a while.

Water based, so it's better for the rubber:

I use Griot's Vinyl and Rubber Dressing which is a conditioner in addition to darkening the sidewall. I apply with a turtle-back sponge cut in half. The thin end works well in the slot between the wheel and sidewall.

Been using Zaino tire shine for 25 years. I prefer the satin finish, it lasts a long time, and it's not greasy. I haven't ventured away from it because in 25 years I've only gone through like 2 or 3 bottles. lol

Armour All tire shine, they have improved the formula that there is no longer any sling along with a good shine.

Whichever I grab at Walmart, since my experience has been that they're all about alike regarding shine and longevity.
