Thanks, Looks like I am going to have to get a tuner. The only dealer around here that knows vettes is about 4 months for an appointment. The weather is almost perfect now for driving a vette. Can anyone tell me exactly what I would need to just do the idle settings. The HP Tuner sight is confusing to me.

This is the one I have. I had them install it at the Carlisle show but it's a really simple install.

I have just the controller and after the honeymoon it just exposes the off idle throttle lag. It does increase response after initial throttle opening.
Thinking in our application I would go TB first or do both.
The off idle lag just bugs me…..

Hoping the ported TB cures that. Just dragging my feet…Is the OEM TB 87mm on the NA 6.2L?

Talk to Diablew and see if he can program it out?

Recently, I did a bunch of work on my Z51. One of the things I repaired was replace the down pipe with damaged catalytic converters with new high flow cats down pipes. After an issue with the O2 sensors were resolved almost everything is back and even better now, except the idle rpm. It is around 1150 now.
My question is, will the throttle controller allow me to adjust that setting, without having to take it to dealer?
My idle problem was in my head. I was looking at x1000 which is at the 500 rpm mark and thinking it was 1000. I have learned to read the gauge. I am getting so used to digital gauges with digits, I have trouble reading the analog style.

Hi there,

The AFE cold air intake will mate perfectly to our 91mm throttle body, just like it does with the stock one.

Use code tiff5off for a discount, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Both are great products that performed flawlessly together in both my previous and current C7Z.

Hi there,

Great question, both upgrades make a noticeable difference, but they each serve a different purpose.

Throttle Body (TB): Real Airflow, Real Power
Our upgraded throttle body physically improves airflow into your engine by altering the internal geometry. The result is a smoother, more predictable power curve and enhanced performance at every throttle position, from idle to wide-open throttle. This upgrade:
• Delivers crisp throttle response
• Reduces lag and hesitation
• Improves overall driving feel

You’ll especially notice the gains during normal driving, low-speed acceleration, and quick bursts of throttle.

Throttle Controller (TC): Fine-Tuned Responsiveness
The throttle controller enhances throttle response electronically. It lets you adjust how quickly the throttle blade reacts to your pedal input, eliminating that sluggish feel and improving driving dynamics.

However, it doesn’t add airflow or horsepower. It works within the physical limits of your throttle body, so if you’re still running the OEM TB, you might still experience a bit of hesitation in certain situations.

The Power of Pairing Both
Individually, each upgrade offers solid performance improvements, but together, they complement one another perfectly, giving you both real power and precision control. The OEM throttle body is only one part of the restriction. Our TB + TC combo eliminates both the physical and electronic limitations, helping your Corvette reach its full potential.

As always, your purchase is risk-free. You can try either one, or both, and if you’re not satisfied, you can return them within 30 days for a full refund.

Use code TIFF5OFF for a discount on your order.

Any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

I had the throttle controller installed at Carlisle in August, It eliminated the bog in response and sharpened up the overall pedal response. Very happy with it
