I am trying to add a key fob to my C7. I don’t have both original keys, so using the “long method”. However, I am unable to even get beyond twisting the key 5 times to see the “add key” option on the CID. Here’s is all I see (attached). This message shows for about 15 seconds, then screen goes blank. And then nothing happens, doesn’t matter how long I wait. Any suggestions?
Is your other key fob out of range of the car? I guess both keys have to be in the car. The other issue people might have. If you start the fob programing, you have to do both fob's. The car erases all keys when the process starts. The message can take up to 10 minutes to go away.
