Default Replace Battery Now Check Engine Light

Any advise is appreciated. I have a 2019 Singray and went to drive it today and the battery was dead. Just enough juice to open the door and roll down the window thankfully. This is my daily driver with 41,000 miles and the original battery. No signs of battery issues yesterday. When I tried to start I got 1 crank then nothing. I noticed that the check engine light was on but I know that with a dead battery strange stuff occurs. I changed the battery, what a pain, and the car started up just fine. However I noticed that the check engine light now is on. I cycled the windows and drove a couple miles to reset the TPMS hoping that the light would go off but it did not. I do not have a code reader but wondering if there is some other series of actions I need to complete to turn off the check engine light. Or is it maybe a case that I just need to have it reset? Thanks in advance.

OK update - I should have done this first... searched the forums and found a couple of threads that suggested to disconnect the negative terminal for 10 minutes to reset everything. I did that and now the CEL light is off. Yay me.Everyone here is very knowledgable about our cars. I appreciate that.

Good deal that you got the light to go off. Rebooting does wonders in a lot of instances.

Now is the time to stop by any parts store and pick up a cheapo reader... for next time, hoping you won't need it.

Thanks for that update. I'll know what to do if it happens.
