Custom engine caps question
Looking at these. My car is DSOM, I want this engine cap set, but want to paint the chrome body color. Anyone who has these custom caps, can you confirm if they can be (relatively) easily disassembled, the chrome parts sprayed, then reassembled?
Not a fan of trying to mask and hope for no masking lines.
Also, thoughts on a translucent color? I want to retain the STINGRAY logo. Thinking a translucent body color over the chrome would be cool.
Any help appreciated.

The cap is secure with velcro and the inlay came in multiple colors but can't find a picture of it disassembled.... I would think they can be separated just by pushing.... to glue that is extra labor and material they most likely avoiding

Without being properly prepped it wouldn't. If they came apart with relatve ease I would powdercoat them. If they don't I'm left with paint.
