dont really need to put the car in neutral to do a cam. just did mine and never touched the shifter. mark the flex plate inside the bell housing so you put the nuts back in the same location as you will be turning that crank many times once the motor is out. set everything to tdc on # 1 cylinder to start and you will be fine

yes, that was my next step. If there was no shortcut that I wasn’t aware of, I’m sure they will come in handy. Anyway I may want to move the car sideways as well so I’ll get four of them.

I have a set of those and they work well. I use them sometimes to align the car for the lift and use taller supports. I had a set from HF that did not have the jacking option. A C5 sat on those for about 2 years and the tires did not warp. It always moved around easily.
