HVAC Vent controls not functioning
I could only find one old thread, checking to see if there have been any newer learnings.
I have had the car since last December, its a '15 Stingray, 38K miles at that time. Now has just under 44k miles. All working fine. Until 2.5 months ago the vent controls started acting up. Basically locked in what ever position its in. at that time it was stuck at defrost as it was defrosting some fog in the windshield. I then reset to auto later that day and would not change. In the time since its changed about 4 times on its own between dash vents and defrost - but I cannot control it. Whether in auto or manually selecting a position.
The old thread indicated an issue with vent door actuator or motor. May have to pull dash. Have there been any other more recent learnings of other causes/solutions? Possible control board issue?

I need to find the time, but I plan on doing a large post on this issue that I had. Mine stuck on defrost and rarely would change for a few seconds on it's own, then go back. Control buttons wouldn't work. Fixed the problem and it was the actuator.
Also, there are many posts about this, so I don't know why you only found one.
