Default C7 1lt hud

If anyone knows or does HUD retrofits for a C7 please PM me. Let me know prices and time frames. I’m located in California but willing to travel to NV or AZ.

Thank you.

I doubt it?

Also pretty sure it requires a dedicated HUD windshield.......

you don’t actually need the windshield. Also my front windshield is ceramic tinted. Also there’s been a couple of guys who have rendered services but it won’t let me DM them.

don't trust any of them ... there are scammers on this site

Retrofitting a C6 was easy .... add a harness and an OEM hud unit and u were don
Not so easy with a C7

To retrofit OEM is extremely expensive and time consuming as the dash has to be removed .
Not to mention the fact that the canbus on a C7 is much more complicated
As far as windshields , there is a difference in the interlayer (the plastic between the two pieces of glass) the HUD windshield uses a prism type of interlayer to provide a much better image , can u use a non hud , sure but the image is much better with a HUD interlayer

https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/vendors?q=Gen5DIY -told me they would do the harness, I just need to get the parts. Which is fine I just need to know which parts. I don’t mind cutting into the dash. Let’s be honest who in there right mind is actually spending $700-900 for the same dash with just the cutout. I’ve been thinking of even getting a Camaro HUD opening it up and putting an aftermarket HUD then doing the cut on the dash and putting it there so it looks legit. Because I was thinking about getting a 3D printed bracket onto the Pilar so it aims up.

Yeah, it's not that easy . You will need a focal point, and it's not cutting the dash that's the problem, it is taking the whole thing apart, but ... you do as you do .... a lot if people have tried....

Please post back for updates and progress on this. I’m really curious about your results and how it worked out. Thanks

Here is a good post from Andrew , who use to do alot if C5 and C6 Hud installs , he is the man when it comes to this topic ... maybe you can reach out to him as you will have to cut the dash and the hole has to be in the right place ....

Good Luck and let us know how it works out !

There are apps that let you use your phone as a hud. All you need is a Bluetooth OBD adapter and a smartphone. More information to display and a lot less trouble than cutting the dash.

Looking for more info...
Since a Heads Up Display must be projected onto the windshield or something between the w/s and driver, I'm not understanding how this would work.
There are ways to get your phone displayed on the center screen (where the nav is located), but I don't know how it would get onto the windshield.

You set your phone on the dash face up. The app reverses the image and it is reflected on the windshield. Use a grip pad to hold it in place. It is not as perfect as a factory HUD, but it does work, it's better at night. I used it in a couple of cars that did not have a HUD. I do have a factory HUD now, but I don't really use it.

From google search;
Several Android OBD apps offer a Head-Up Display (HUD) mode, including
Torque Pro, OBD Fusion, YMOBD, and HUDWAY Drive. These apps use your phone's screen to project real-time vehicle data, like speed, RPM, and fuel consumption, onto your windshield for a head-up display experience
