Is there a difference between the bin buddy shelf and the others sold on amazon aside from the price? Bin buddy is approx $35 plus shipping; amazon has similar for less than $10. Thanks

No idea what the specific Amazon products against which you're comparing Bin Buddy are but, in most cases, you get what you pay for. Bin Buddy is WELL-MADE, fits the space PERFECTLY, integrates PROPERLY with Bin Guard, and is backed with solid SERVICE.
You'll learn whether the Amazon product you're considering is actually comparable when you install it and/or require customer service for it. If there really is no difference, it will be sturdy, with finished edges/corners, nicely painted/coated, and fit perfectly. It it isn't, it may have unfinished edges/corners, a substandard surface coating, and/or bind your storage compartment screen (upon install or some future date when it vibrates from its intended location). Given our investment in these cars, SandyEggo Designs was the obvious choice for me and I have zero regrets. Good luck!
ordered from sandyeggo. I don't love that they wouldn't sell the bin tray by itself. They packaged it with the bin guard (which I actually like) and the skull hidden button cover, which I would not have purchased.

Interesting. FWIW, I agree with you. When I bought mine a few years ago, they were available separately.

I will always support USA businesses over a China wholesaler.
My first question is always, what do I have to lose. My second thought is always the concept of TANSTAAFL.
Having watched the video of them taking apart the dash, to access a stuck Infotainment Door, I would hesitate to go cheap. It would be nice to have someone knowledgeable to call 📞 if something went wrong.
Because, of that, all I have in it is the Music USB Stick and an extra pair of sunglasses. jmho

Without knowing the specific Amazon products against which OP compared Bin Buddy, however, it's difficult to know their country of origin. China is a fair assumption on Amazon but, unless I missed something here, it's still an assumption.
My daughter purchased one on Amazon for my birthday, one of the 'off brand' types. Dimensions were off and it wouldn't allow to screen to close. Put it on the garage shelf and didn't mess with it further, I don't need it breaking something. I will go with the more expensive one, just have not got around to it.

If you still want one, don't let your experience keep you from getting an authentic SandyEggo version. Obviously, fitment can be an issue with almost any product, experience says it's very unlikely with SandyEggo. In the event you have an issue, I found their customer service to be excellent.

SandyEggo design is a very reputable company. I highly recommended them. They have great products and great customer service!

I agree, bought my bin buddy initially and then bought the bin guard when it came out. Spoke directly to the owner of SandyEggo when I had a minor issue and it was taken care of no problem. If I'm not mistaken, the initial SandyEggo Bin buddy developer is, or was, a C7 owner.

You’re right he did or still does have a C7 that’s why everything fits so perfect. He uses his car as a Guinea Pig lol
it's funny you should ask this.... I recently purchased it from Amazon.
I BALKED at the $35 + shipping version when it first came out many years ago. It's just a piece of plastic worth a few bucks.
The Amazon version fits perfectly and has a textured mat on the top shelf.

Thanks for confirming you get what you pay for. SandyEggo Bin Buddy is made of Aluminum Alloy, finished with a Textured Powder Coat, not plastic.
