Default Hvac issue

2015 ZO6. I only get airflow from ac vents. No flow to floor or defrost. While looking for scanner for abs bleeding i saw some scanners will move blend doors and activate actuators. Anyone know if this might resolve issues? Thx

I dont think it will resolve your issues but , it will point you in the right direction.... If you command each blend doors to move , and they do .... then the problem is with the control module, if they dont move then the problem is with the actuator

My money is on the actuators ... and they are a real pain in the butt to replace as the dashboard has to be disassembled

Good Luck , let us know what you find

Dave

Good luck with the fix - hope it does not turn out to be a major disassembly project.

Finally scheduled an appointment for Monday Jan 5 to have mine diagnosed for this same issue. Control module was replaced a couple years ago.

I had this same thing happen to me. The fix was a new blend door and actuator.

Below was the diagnosis for mine today, Jan 6, 2026:

Recalibrate HVAC actuators. Checked HVAC module for latest software. One hour labor.

Will update the post if the issue returns.

The recalibration did NOT last long. So took it back today for further analysis, Jan 7, 2026.

Picked up the car today (Jan 22, 2026) after about 2 weeks of waiting for the part to arrive, HVAC Control Module.

So the module was replaced and programmed. Fingers crossed that this is the fix.

Well back to the shop today (Feb 2, 2026), the problem came back. The service advisor confirmed related ODBII codes when I arrived.

They've been fair...
Credited my first service cost for the calibation that didn't work to the second.
And will credit the second service cost for replacing the control module to the work required to replace the actuators.
I also like that they didn't go straight to pulling the dash and replacing the actuators, they tried the least intrusive repairs first.
I've been going there since I bought the car and always see other Vettes there being serviced.

Got the car back today, Feb 6, 2026.
Will hold on declaring the issue resolved this time. The 4 actuators were replaced.
There is a rattle from the vent near the door on the passenger side. Pretty apparent and easy to reproduce.
Planning give them a call tomorrow to request for that to be checked and resolved. But will drive it for at least a week to make sure all is good before taking it back in.

They almost always fix one thing while breaking another. That's even if they guess right and actually fix the first thing.

I don't even trust them to wash my car.

That's why I do all my own work.

Note: I went bt a Lexus dealer and on their lot was a new LC500 convertible with a large sign on the windshield "DO NOT WASH" even though the car was very dirty. A very smart buyer knew better.

Found the source of that rattle while cleaning it up today: the plastic dash panel on the passenger side (the one visible when the door is open) was out of alignment. Tapping it reproduced the noise perfectly, so I repositioned it for now. I’ll likely pull it off later to apply some foam insulation tape to quiet it down permanently.
Im a DIY guy as well, but didn't want to tackle the A/C issue given all the posts I'd read about this issue. I've partially disabled the dash before on Honda's but not to the extent required to replace the blend door aquators.

All good after a week+, so declaring the issue resolved. No more rattling either.

Thank you for sharing - I will be dealing with this in the spring. Last fall started having issues with changing air flow modes. I could not change but they changed on their own a few times.
