Yea, I had to bargain with the 'finance manager' if your married you know, the things you do to live together peacefully. The agreement was that if I get another car one in the stable has to go. It will be a hard decision if it ever gets that far. I would like to get rid of the Tesla, but I am not sure if I can even give it away, which would really hurt.

I saw an arctic white that did not have a ridiculously large wing and I actually could see myself driving, enjoying, and well........ gulp, loving it. Just because I may love a new 'Juliette' does not mean that I do not still love my 'Old Bessie'

Of course I have not had this major change of heart discussion with the 'finance' manager yet, so it may be a while longer before I could make said change. Maybe i will come to my senses before then, unless the prices keep getting lower.

Please help me......
resistance is futile. You will be assimilated and enjoying 2.6s 0-60 times.

4. Head room - I'm 6'4" with a long torso and the C7 seems to have at least another inch and probably more head room.
5. I have 4 more years of warranty, and the car is paid for. Although I keep thinking that C7 parts, especially the electronics, are going to get harder and harder to find.

The C8 has a lot going for it.
Not sure but the wife and I can take a 2 week overseas trip with a carryon and CPAP machine each. Including boots, we went to Africa for 2 weeks with that.

More drinks & snacks means more bathroom stops. I am very judicious with the intake so I don't have too much output.

Not sure about the headroom thing. I have had some people find the C7 too small and others find it just fine.

To me, that is a huge part of the problem. There are already things being obsoleted. Sure, engine and transmission will be easy. The rest, you might have to dumpster dive for parts. I got tired of hearing "obsolete" from my parts guy and have to scrounge around for stuff. Some of which was in worse condition than the parts they were replacing but I can't stand broken stuff around. I did overspend on it so I felt like I had to keep it till the wheels fell off. If I was more certain of the rear engine being a permanent thing, I'd have jumped at the C8 when the wife insisted we get rid of the "Rickety POS" (C4) one Saturday morning.

There is no way a DCT is as robust and dependable as an M7, and if you're out of warranty and the DCT needs replacing, it's going to set you back ~25k parts and labor...Never own a C8 without a good warranty.

Not necessarily...I bought a new '23Z and didn't care for it at all as a DD. Bought a low mile '18 M7 Z, sold the '23 and never looked back.

My neighbor has a C8 Stingray for 4 years now. He has had zero problems with it. He is a couple of years older than me, so like me, he drives like an old guy driving a corvette. So it seems to me that there are ways to avoid issues with these cars and still enjoy driving it. It is a bit more risky by purchasing used.

I bought my C7 used, just like any car. Yes, there is an increase in risk buying any used but there is also a decrease in price..

Be sure to give your finance manager a short notice or you may be getting a new kitchen instead.

I would make it a surprise because we all know how much a spouse loves them. "Surprise, Honey! Look at what I got US!". DO NOT MAKE IT A "ME" THING. IT'S AN "US" THING.

I don't understand the hate for the C8 other than the lack of 3 pedals. It looks great as does the C7; both can be true.

I agree loved them all, C8 at first had a long butt to me. but still was sharp and in person it pops/ has that look. I broke my neck at them passing or parked. 3rd pedal was my hang up.. and after a few years is what it is have to play with new and try

Fortunately, the kitchen was done a couple of years ago. There are many other projects still needing attention. I am psyching myself into what I can offer to sweeten the pot.

Do you understand the "C4 is the last of the true Corvettes" I used to hear when I was in the C4 forum? Wanna bet that in 20 years, the C8 will be the last of the true Corvettes according to many C8 owners when the new generations comes out?

I think the C8 is so incongruous looking and silly. I appreciate the C4 more because of it. I wanted to like it... it's just too damn ugly for me..
