Are there a lot more 14-15 C7s for sale in various classifieds than compared to 16-19 model years? Obviously, they are older but no other reasons making them less desirable, price aside?

For me, the most desirable is my current 2014 Z51 coupe with the A6 and 2LT interior trim. Gave up a non Z51 2016 coupe with the A8 and 3LT trim to get it. Was unhappy with the A8 transmission and feared possible dashboard bubbles with the 3LT trim package. IMO, all you really give up on the 2014 is the front camera and the Android / Apple Car Play. Nice, well cared for low mileage 2014 models seem to be more rare now than the later year ones.
Well, they don't have the front camera or Apple/Car Play. And a couple of other things that I can't think of but my 15 Z51 m7 convertible isn't going anywhere! Probably my last Corvette. I refuse to drive an automatic Corvette! Yeah, I know, I know, "But, they are faster"..... WHOOPIE!! I enjoy going through the gears. Always have in all 5 that I've owned over the years. Plus, I don't really care for the copied Euro look of the C8s. If you decide on a C7, there are plenty of low mileage examples out there that have been meticulously maintained. I picked up my current one 2 years ago with about 12K on the clock!! Good luck with whatever you decide.
From: In a parallel universe. Currently own 2014 Stingray Coupe.

I have a 2014 and it has been a great car in the seven years I have owned it. Only issues have been it needed an infotainment screen replacement (early in my ownership) and a belt tensioner. Would not have a problem recommending a 2014 if one was interested in buying a C7 - but of course have it checked by a qualified Corvette Tech.

Did the Z51,14 vs 16, factor in? For cost reasons, I am debating paying for Z51 in a no-track use car.

No. Wasn’t a factor. Would’ve been happy with a regular Stingray. Just wanted to get away from the A8 transmission and 3LT dash trim. The Z51 performance package was a nice bonus however. I don’t track my car, but do like the firmer ride the Z51 offers.
added note…..I also have the NPP exhaust and HUD. Would definitely recommend both those options!

🤷🏼♂️ Not sure, but I think you may be right. Haven’t seen a HUD on a 1LT. But pretty sure I’ve seen the performance exhaust on one.
You get HUD automatically in the base 1LZ/1ZR models. Not Stingrays or GS.
Later years are best. But on a budget I would at least try for a 16 for numerous reasons. You can look up the changes by year.
If buying an auto? I would go with the 8spd but make sure it has had the flush done. The 8spd is so much better than the A6. Both are good transmissions but the extra steep 1st and in between 4th gear make it stand out. The 8spd is indestructible for adding power. The A6 is not.
I purchased the 2014 because it had only 22,000 miles and I am now at 35,000 miles. Had I found a great deal on another low mileage C7 of any year it wouldn't have mattered. You can have a problem with any car and just have to take your chances when buying pre-owned vehicles.
