I don't understand why this had to turn into a debate? I would trust what some of the people say in here vs on some other corvette sites, AI or Facebook groups. I posted the information on the A8 because I had that problem and posted the fix. Hope you guys get it worked out and have a good day everyone.

I'm so confused on this debate, who came out on top? Harness with thermistor or no harness? This debate is like windshield wipers, back and forth.

Sorry, I only own an A8, no experience with the A6.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Wire harness 24046895 has been updated with a new part number, 24064375 Sorry if this new information upsets certain individuals.

Thanks for the update ... this is what the forums are for letting people who have a problem know how they can solve the problem
Like I said above , when i did my harenss it took me longer to make sure i was ordering the right part than it did to do the work because of all the superseded part numbers ... heck even two.parts managers were not sure

Yes it has a temp sensor. The bypass has a little replaceable thermostat inside of it. It loops the fluid when cold to heat up the trans faster. Here in Florida we just pull out the thermostat and tap it for a pipe plug. Then it's full time to the cooler.
