Heading back from an overnight stay in Klamath, Ca. going through Orick, came across these guys. There must have been about 30-40 in total. Luckily the speed limit was 35 mph, as they were just past a blind corner.
Driving through Yosemite National Park every year, sometimes make me really appreciate the Z51 brakes.
After a major storm, I came around another curve with an 18" high, 24" long, and an 8" wide granite rock that should have been on a hill, in the middle of the hill. OMG!
I am glad it was a save due to the larger aircooled brakrs!!!!!!
The trip to Crescent City was great. The ride from Redding to Crescent City was exceptional. I took Hwy 299 west to Eureka. This stretch is great. From the road condition to the scenery, it's a much do if you're in the area. As is any route in this part of the state.
