You don't need a memory saver. Depending on how long it takes you to replace the battery you will need to index windows and possibly reset seat & mirror memory. It is a good time to review all settings in the infotainment system anyway.
BEFORE YOU START WITH THE BATTERY: test that the emergency key works to open the hatch / trunk and test the door manual releases. Leave at least one window open so you can reach a door release to get into the car.
Also a good time to replace the fob batteries.
A battery tender probably should not be plugged into the car without a battery present. I guess any 9 - 12 vdc battery connected into the rear accessory plug would maintain memory, but not worth the effort. If you do connect, be sure of the polarity.

Great advice from many above. Window re-index was the only task to do after my battery change. Everything else, memory seats/mirrors, etc., were just fine.
I didn't do anything at all when I changed mine
I didn't even know window indexing was a thing when changing the battery, of course maybe that explains why my windows don't go all the way up???

That's all that was required when mine was changed.

If it's the OEM battery, might want to invest in a lifting strap from Amazon or something. Nearly broke my back trying to get the OEM battery out. Ended up creating a handle with zip ties and fed them under the battery.
I just did mine. I didn't use any power to the system. Just in case, put the windows down. I also had to use a strap around the battery to get it out. A real pain in the butt. I got the ADCelco 48AGM for $177 at Walmart. Also, hard to squeeze in. You need to tilt it. Only remove the two main terminal connections and the large nut on the cable. I charged mine to full before I installed it. Don't forget to use the little red vent plug, that comes with the new battery, it plugs the hole opposite the original vent and install the original vent tube. DONT break the little black wires hooked to the negative terminal cable. DON'T tear the carpet.
Re-index the windows, set the clock, and you're done
Question? Will the 9 volt memory saver hold all the SMOG check info that is normally lost when battery is disconnected? All that info that has to be reset by doing multiple drive cycles. 🤔
