Default Headlight issue

Hello, I have 2014 Stingray with the left headlight not working. It's my understanding that to change it, the entire front fascia must be removed which is quite costly. Also, apparently each headlight has a separate fuse which could be the issue. Does anyone have experience (knowledge) of this issue? As always, thanks for the awesome Corvette community and the wealth of knowledge out there that's so readily shared.
Best regards.

Is your entire headlight not working or just the main bulb, big difference. If the entire headlight doesn't work, maybe it is a fuse. If just the main bulb is out it probably needs to be replaced.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the fuse, it was OK. The only nonfunctional part is the bulb which will necessitate replacement which due to the great wisdom in Detroit requires removal of the front fascia at $800 labor plus $375 for each bulb (would be ridiculous not to change both) brings the total to over $1500. That’s dealer price. I’m currently looking into collision shops who specialize in Corvette repair and see if they’ll do it for less. Are there options to the stock halogen bulbs, like an LED?
Thanks again.

If you are somewhat handy with a wrench, removal and re-install of the front fascia is not a terribly difficult procedure. There are a number of good YouTube videos out there that detail the process very well and can save you a lot of money.

Removing and re-installing the front facia is easy. $800 in labor for maybe a half hour of work is insanity.

I wouldn't use the dealer. Find a good custom shop, or even a body shop that knows about the C7's. 95% of the work is body work. They need to be knowledgeable about the upper connections between the front fascia and the fenders.

Thanks for getting back with me. Yeah, I believe that’s above my capabilities. I’m going to explore options with body shops, I’ll post results if anyone else has this issue in the future. I plan on replacing my stock halogen with LED. I find the stock headlights somewhat dull. I live in a canyon in NORCAL and would love to have higher brightness. Thanks again. Have you heard of anyone else doing this?

When it's back together make sure you adjust the beams. With the super bright LED's maybe adjust them down a bit. You don't want to be that guy that blinds everyone. There are many, very good bulbs to chose from.
Some lights even say, "not street legal".

Thanks for the council. I’m looking at headlightexperts.com, do you have another site I could check out?
