Check out STEK PPF before you make a final decision. When you look at the films side by side the XPEL looks like orange peel vs completely smooth for the STEK. Don't know if there is a price difference. Go to https://www.stek-usa.com they have a installer locater on the site.
I had Xpel PPF applied to my 2019 Watkins Glen Gray GS. It looks great and I am extremely please with it. Winter months are a great time to talk to the shop about getting it done. This is usually a slow time (unless you're in a warm climate area like Florida) and they might be willing to give a discount. That's what I did 2 years ago.
IMO Xpel is a great product.
IMO the answer is very simple. While the front of the car takes the most abuse, if you can afford to do the entire car or if you are willing to devote what it cost to do the entire car vs. spending the extra money on other upgrades, then certainly do the entire car.
don’t do a partial hood when it stops half way up the hood. That looks like doo doo. At least do the entire front clip and mirrors. But like mentioned I’d do the entire vehicle if possible
