Default Battery tender question

I am going away for three weeks with no one home. Is there any issue leaving my corvette plugged in while I am away? Or should I unplug it while I am out of town?

thanks

Check your insurance and leave them plugged in.

I've used Battery Tender Plus units for around 30 years. I've left everything you can think of plugged in for MONTHS - ZERO issues, plug it in and relax.

You should be just fine leaving the car with the battery maintainer attached.

I've left a car unplugged for 3 weeks. I haven't gone past a month. I was gone for 2 weeks and the car was at the airport parking so if it died, I would be in a world of hurt especially since I was coming home at night and it was in a ramp with a limited height.

I agree with the others that you can keep it plugged in all the time.
ALTERNATIVE:
If you would prefer, you can also plug it into a 24hr timer and let it only charge for a few hours each day. I've used this method and had no problems with keeping a fully charged battery.

I've left mine plugged in for over a month while I was HOME and just didn't drive the car so being away makes no difference. It will be fine...

Your car will be fine. That is what battery tenders are made for. I have left mine plugged in for several weeks unattended with no problems.

Why? I get it for my diesel truck to keep it warm in the morning before I go to work so it starts easy and I'm not heating it for no reason 24X7 but why is a timer necessary for keeping a tender on a car?

I've used Battery Tender by Deltran for 20 plus years. My lawn tractor is on the same battery for over 10 years, easily 10 years. Gotta find the receipt. I put my daily drivers on once a quarter, keep the weekenders on at all times. I can't say that I've ever had a battery problem. Keep 'em healthy and they last a very long time. I use a dual bank for my lift setup. One up, one down.

One problem with battery maintainers, especially the CTEK/Corvette one that plugs into the trunk; is that they will occasionally lose electrical connection and stop working.
If you are like us and store the car at home where we can see the indicator lights, just glance in there occasionaly to verify that it's all ok. If I was storing the car at a remote location where I couldn't inspect occasionally, I'd be interested in a different brand or a hardwired connection.

I have been using my CTEK on my cars and lawn mower for 6 years now. My CTEK has never lost it's electrical connection and stopped working. Mine is solid.
I've left the CTEK plugged into the Corvette's rear plug for 1 week with no problem.
**(Lower the passenger window, set the CTEK in the passenger seat and feed the wire to the rear trunk plug. Run the electrical cord through the open passenger window. This allows you to shut the trunk fully; no need to keep the trunk ajar if doing it this way).
