Hello, on my 2019 corvette I have tried everything but it show me an option to make the pdr automatically start every time I start the car. Are there some corvettes that don’t offer that or is there something I can do to get that option. I know some have an option to have the pdr auto start. Thanks for any help on this.

Reason: Add info.
As much as I’d love to have the option for the PDR to activate with the ignition start, I’m sure there are many others that don’t want everything they do in their Corvettes recorded to video. That said, if someone could come up with a solution to this like they did with the Range or Skip Shift modules there would be a good market for it.

does it take anything more than a tap on pdr icon??

It in fact does. After a tap on the PDR icon, then it requires another tap to dismiss the home screen lingo within the PDR app, then another tap back to home and yet another tap to get back to CarPlay - every stop/start. Personally I'd like not having to do all that like my buddy gets to enjoy in his C8. And no, I don't want a C8...

If you can't manage the pdr every drive, then also run a cheap webcam for those times when you forget to start the pdr or the sd card is full or the recording stops at about 90 minutes.
Also I believe the C8 does not require FAT32 format and is able to close / open files and can be set to overwrite old files as needed...
